Uncommon

Sheep

What It Is

Sheep grazing in a pasture, usually spotted in flocks rather than alone.

How Rare Is It on Road Trip Bingo?

Uncommon. Regional; some farm areas raise plenty of sheep, others focus entirely on cattle or crops.

Spotting Tip

Look for smaller, tightly-fenced pastures distinct from the larger open cattle fields — sheep are often kept in closer-in enclosures.

Fun Fact

A group of sheep is called a "flock," but a group specifically moving together while grazing is sometimes called a "mob" — one of several odd collective nouns in farming.
